Nij Beets student Detmer Kremer receives NESCAC All-Academic honors

Detmer Kremer, a junior member of the men's track and field team at Bates College, received New England Small College Athletic Conference All-Academic distinction for the spring 2015 season. To receive NESCAC All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.

Kremer, 0, is a 2011 graduate of United World College in Mostar. He majors in anthropology.

"Bates Athletics is especially proud that our students perform as well in the classroom as they do in their respective sports," says Kevin McHugh, director of athletics at Bates. "We had a terrific year competitively across all of our sport programs and the NESCAC All-Academic citations demonstrate that we had and equally successful year academically as well."
