Matthew Phillips named student advisor at Bates College

Matthew Phillips, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas B. Phillips of Acton, Mass., is serving as a Residence Coordinator for the 2015-16 academic year at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. He is a 2013 graduate of Acton-Boxborough Regional High School.

As part of his Residence Coordinator role with the college's Office of Student Affairs, Phillips is advising first-year students on academic and social issues, while also facilitating student engagement through programs and volunteer opportunities, both on- and off-campus. He is majoring in politics at Bates.
