2015 Mar 20

Mark McCauley, a member of the Men's Indoor Track & Field team at Bates College, received New England Small College Athletic Conference All-Academic distinction for the winter 2015 season. To receive NESCAC All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.

McCauley, the son of Richard L. McCauley of Cumberland, Maine and Mary E. McCauley of Bath, Maine, is a 2010 graduate of Greely High School. He majors in environmental studies and politics at Bates.

"The fall and winter sports programs at Bates have achieved notable competitive success this year," said Kevin McHugh, director of athletics at Bates. "It is very gratifying to see the NESCAC All-Academic citations and the recognition that our student-athletes have performed equally well in the classroom."
