Bradley Rutkin, the son of Mr. Alan S. Rutkin and Dr. Maura E. Kates of Great Neck, N.Y., is studying abroad during the 2015-16 winter semester through the Bates College Junior Year Abroad program.

Rutkin, a 2013 graduate of John L. Miller Great Neck North High School, is studying in the United Kingdom. He is majoring in economics at Bates.

About 60 percent of Bates juniors study abroad, and Bates offers access to study-abroad programs in more than 60 countries.
