Bates student Detmer Kremer participates in fall 2014 study abroad program

Bates student Detmer Kremer of Nij Beets, Netherlands, spent the fall 2014 semester studying abroad in Samoa as a participant in the SIT study abroad program in Apia.

Kremer, a 2011 graduate of United World College in Mostar, is the son of Mr. Johannes W. Kremer and Ms. Anja Kremer-DeVries of Nij Beets, Netherlands. He is majoring in anthropology at Bates.

About 60 percent of Bates students study abroad, and the college offers access to academically rigorous and culturally enriching study-abroad programs in more than 80 countries.
