Bates student Cosmin Bardan of Bacau, Romania, spent the fall 2014 semester studying abroad in Australia at the University of Melbourne.

Bardan, a 2012 graduate of Colegiul National Vasile Alecs, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugen Bardan of Bacau, Romania. He is majoring in economics and french and francophone studies at Bates.

About 60 percent of Bates students study abroad, and the college offers access to academically rigorous and culturally enriching study-abroad programs in more than 80 countries.
