Brynn Wendel, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven B. To receive NESCAC All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.

A 2012 graduate of Masconomet Regional High School in Topsfield Mass., Wendel is majoring in sociology at Bates.

"Bates is fully committed to the student-athlete ideal, and we are very proud of the achievements -- in the classroom, in the community and on the field -- of our student-athletes who received NESCAC fall 2013 All-Academic distinction," said Kevin McHugh, director of athletics at Bates.
