Bates graduate Michael Creedon awarded a Fulbright grant

Bates College graduate and Medfield, Massachusetts native, Michael Creedon, has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to support an academic year abroad in Brazil.

Creedon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Conor J. Creedon of Medfield, Massachusetts, is a 2011 graduate of Medfield High School. At Bates, Creedon majored in English.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is funded primarily by the U.S. Department of State and sends some 1,500 citizens abroad each year to more than 155 countries. With 45 graduates having received Fulbrights in the past four years, Bates is a "top producer" of Fulbright U.S. Student grants, ranking among the top 10 U.S. bachelor's degree colleges.
