Abbey Bierman named student advisor at Bates College

Abbey Bierman, the daughter of Laura L. Bierman of Glenmont, N.Y. and Luke J. Bierman of Greensboro, N.C., is serving as a Residence Coordinator Team Leader for the 2015-16 academic year at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. She is a 2012 graduate of Bethlehem Central High School.

As part of her Residence Coordinator Team Leader role with the college's Office of Student Affairs, Bierman is advising first-year students on academic and social issues, while also facilitating student engagement through programs and volunteer opportunities, both on- and off-campus. She is majoring in environmental studies and music at Bates.
