INDIANAPOLIS -- The Bates women's swim team will send nine student-athletes to compete in the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, to be held March 20-23 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C. The Bobcats match the 2016 program record of nine women competing at NCAAs.

Sophomore Caroline Apathy (Devon, Pa.) is the No. 1 seed in the 100-yard butterfly, based on her 54.54-second title-winning race at the NESCAC Championships. Apathy is also seeded 36th in the 100-yard freestyle (51.72) 53rd in the 50 freestyle (24.25 seconds).

Junior Emmy Daigle (Portland, Ore.) will swim the 100-yard breaststroke as the 26th seed, based on her season-best time of 1:04.73.

Senior Lucy Faust (Piedmont, Calif.), a veteran of two NCAA Championship meets, will compete in the 1,650-yard freestyle as the 29th seed, based on her time of 17:30.01.

But the Bobcats will again make their biggest impact at NCAAs in the relay events:
